First, we conducted some background research online to
see what other surveys completed said about cell phone providers and
their satisfaction percentage. Our main objective in our study was
to determine which cell phone provider, if any, had a higher
satisfaction rate than others. We then surveyed 160 students, asking
them which cell phone provider they had, if any, and if they
were happy with them. The survey also asked what about the cell
phone provider was disliked whether it was dropped calls, poor
service, or their plan/features. We then used a chi-squared test for
goodness of fit to compare cell phone carriers with their customers
satisfaction. After we acquired the data, we found that sample sizes
were too small in some categories, therefore we had to alter our
study. We then changed the study to, does Verizon's satisfaction
rate equal all other companies satisfaction rates combined?
