The common stereotype is that female athletes are smarter, or at least have higher G.P.A.s,     than male athletes.  To test the truth of this stereotype, we asked the members of the North   Olmsted High School Girl’s Track team what their G.P.A.s were, and we asked the same of the         Boy’s Track team.  Our hypothesis is that there will not be a significant difference in the mean       G.P.A. for each team and that the Boy’s Track team may have a higher mean G.P.A.
