the farther you go, the more you know?

There were many weaknesses with our study.  Many of the students that we surveyed

estimated their GPA or left that line blank.  Also, there was a no-response bias because

we didn't get all of our surveys back.  There is also no way to be sure that each student was

honest about their traveling experiences.

The results of our study can be extrapolated to a larger population.  The study could be done

at other high schools across the country.  The study could also be conducted at the college level. 

It may be interesting to see if there is an association between GPA and whether or not a student

studies abroad in college. 

suggestions for further work

We would suggest that anyone trying to find whether their is a relationship between GPA and

traveled distance take a larger sample with a more diverse population than the student body

of NOHS.
