Why Politics?
During the past presidential election, many wide claims and generalizations were made. for example, one Fox News reporter claimed that Hilary Clinton won the New York primary because of the state's heavy population of blue collar, unionized workers. Knowing that there is already a difference in the way blue collar and white collar workers vote, I decided t investigate this claim. if the claim is true, I want to know how much of a difference exists. However, typical problems of statistical studies arose, and I cannot answer this question. However, I ended up investigating the differences between age and political affiliation, and age and feeling on issues like immigration and foreign policy. Even if there is a significant difference in blue collar and white collar voting patterns, the results of the New York primary, and the presidential election, the results could be attributed to a changing situation in immigration, Iran, or the economy. In addition, the massive increase in the amount of registered youth voters could have done it also. In general, young people are notorious for voting Democratic, liberal politicians into public office.
