WEAKNESSES

Weaknesses in our study would include people who incorrectly answered the survey for fear of getting in trouble.  Also, weaknesses would include people who did not answer all of the questions on the survey.  Other areas of weakness were teachers who answered the surveys for students in order to save class time, students who could not take the survey because they attend Polaris full time, and some surveys were returned unanswered.

EXTRAPOLATE

We would feel comfortable extrapolating our data to other high schools with rules that are similar to North Olmsted High School’s.  We would feel comfortable doing this because in most cases, similar punishments and rules are used to keep students from using cell phones.  Also, North Olmsted High School is a very diverse school between age, race, and gender. 

SUGGESTIONS

Possibilities of other studies would include taking a larger sample size here at North Olmsted High School, or taking a sample from multiple high schools around the area (with the same exact survey) and conducting a Z test with all of the results.
