There are many different types and sizes of bathrooms out in the world, but we would like to know the number of bathrooms in one  house.  We wanted to know so we would be able to compare bathroom statistics compared to the average number in Salt Lake City, Utah.  It was hard to figure out what to actually search when researching for our project.  We typed in “statistics on number of bathrooms in houses” but not much showed.  We think it was due from too many words in our search prompt  Then we decided to go more basic. We typed in "statistics on bathrooms" and more and more websites began to show up.

Although they weren’t totally relevant to our certain study, they still had bathroom statistics in mind.  One website, toiletpaperworld.com gave more stats about bathrooms themselves but not the actual numbers.  An example would be a percentage of people prefer  a certain toilet paper brand in their bathroom. An article on articlebase.com titled "Ideas on Bathroom Remodeling" also showed up on or search but only dealt with stats on bathroom remodeling. For example, women will spend about 2 years and 9 months of their loves to see what they look like. We continued our search.  We found one study by paper brand quilted northern, that concluded different statistics about bathroom habits. 80% feel that softness in bathroom tissue is most important.   We continued our search for more information.  We searched "statistics on bathrooms +studies" in our search engine of choice.  We found a design on bathroom safety, written by Abir Mullick, the web link here http://www.icadi.phhp.ufl.edu/2003/presentation.php?PresID=152 The entire website discussed different ideas to make bathrooms safer for the elder populations.  Abir Mullick included statistics in his design as well.  The website was created to advertise the presentation and conference held by the International Conference of Aging, Disability and Independence.

There are many other articles dealing with bathrooms, but none that could totally relate to our study.  We searched on other search engines, typing in different prompts.  We searched "stats on bathrooms, number of bathrooms, types of bathrooms, bathrooms stats, etc". We found other websites dealing with other statistics on what people do in the bathroom and how much time is spent in there.  As of right now, there is no current study comparing the number of bathrooms.
