Weaknesses within the study

The weaknesses within the study would have to be due to the complexity of the subject matter. The is a chance that the people did not knowing the information and still being right could effect the study. There was a response bias that was in the study would be some people stated that they were both genders , said they use CPR every day and drew a picture of a "magical" camel. While another person thought that CPR was related to a Canadian Railway. Then, there was a non-response bias because about 40 people didn't respond. Also, since this is a difficult subject 6 questions wouldn't be a very good indicator to see if they are knowledgeable in CPR. There is a time restraint that would also effect the data because if there was more time people could run a simulation with which a person would judge on how effective the CPR would be. Since there are so many parts to see if a person if performing it correctly.

Extrapolate

This test would be able extrapolate to a larger area. The thing that would most likely change would be the number of correct in the area in the study. If the study was in an area with more bodies of water it would be expected that more people who would do better. CPR tends to be associated with lifeguarding is why the it would be expected to improve. Another thing would be what they learned in health class and where they learned health because there are different guidelines that schools have and time retrains and a ton of other factors.

Things to know when working with CPR in the future

When remember when doing a study on CPR be very specific on what type of CPR that the sturdy is testing because there is the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. They both do not have the same guidelines that give a straightforward answer. It would also be helpful to ask more questions to be able to get a better result without overwhelming the person to a point where they do not want to answer the questions. Then, there is the largest problem, the fact that CPR changes every four years with the different organization to be completely different. The Red Cross is soon going to be changing to no breathes within the CPR process.
