Seven step hypothesis

1.u1 =true mean of female students scores on CPR survey

u2=true mean of male students score on CPR survey

2. H0 :u1-u2= O

3. Ha : u1-u2 is not equal to zero

4. significance level :   =.05

5. Test Statistic: two sample t test   (T = (YBAR1 - YBAR2)/[(1/sp)*SQRT((1/N1) + (1/N2))])

6. Assumptions: The assumptions in this study would be that everyone in the test didn't guess. since there are more then 30 samples so the central limit theory applies. It is also needed that the data is approximately normal distribution.

7.Conclusion: N   Mean StDev   SE Mean
        males     43   1.58   1.53     0.23
      females   39    1.97    1        0.28

Difference = mu (male) - mu (female)
Estimate for difference: -0.393
95% CI for difference: (-1.113, 0.327)
