Conclusion
The goal of my study was to determine if
there was a useful linear relationship between hours of sleep and
height of high school students. I failed to reject my null
hypothesis which stated that there was no useful linear relationship
between hours of sleep and student height at the 0.05 level of
significance since my p-value was 0.733, greater than alpha. The
hypothesis would also have been rejected at the 0.01 level of
significance. Therefore, there was insufficient evidence to
suggest that there was a useful linear relationship between hours of
sleep and height of high school students at North Olmsted High School.
The variables average hours of sleep per night and height in ft were
concluded to not be linear related based on conclusions drawn from a
0.05 level linear regression t-test.
