Weaknesses
Some weaknesses from our study could have been that fact that some of our participants in our surveys did not have a license. Another weakness is because we had a lot of response bias because some students decided to try to be funny and answer in a way that did not help us. Another weakness is the fact that our sample size is very small because we only surveyed about half of the high school, because we disregarded the sophmores and freshmen and only focused on the juniors and seniors.
Extrapolation
It would be possible to extrapolate our study to other schools in the area but the results may vary based on the different demographics of the schools. We would not be able to extrapolate it to schools around the country because there is a big difference in the demographics. Although it would be possible to extrapolate, it would be difficult to because of the different demographics and driving laws in some states.
Suggestions
If we were to do this study one more time to come up with a better result, we could include adults. This means that we could survey people outside of high school; people that have had their driver's license for a longer period of time. We can compare the types of violations they have made instead of just comparing the amount of times pulled over. This will strengthen all of our results because with the study, we were limiting to sampling within the high school.
