Conclusion
We used a 2-sample T-test to see if the mean ages’ of North Olmsted’s teachers’ cars were less than the mean ages’ of North Olmsted’s students’ cars with parking passes. To get the mean ages we had to take the mean model years of both the teacher’s cars and students cars subtracted from 2014. From there, we got an average age of 11.47 years old for students cars and 6.4 years old for teachers cars. We then concluded that we were able to reject the null hypothesis at all levels of significance, but for the purpose of the study we used the default significance level of 0.05. Since our p-value was 0, it was much less than alpha. Therefore, we have sufficient evidence to suggest that the true mean of teachers’ cars model year at North Olmsted High School was greater than the true mean of students’ cars model year at North Olmsted High School.
