These boxplots show the time it takes to leave the parking lot based upon when a student leaves the school building. The median time to leave the parking lot for students who leave within 5 minutes after 11th period is dismissed is 2.915 minutes. For students who leave the building between 5 minutes and 10 minutes after 11th period, the median time to leave the parking lot is 6.295 minutes. For students who leave the building after 10 minutes, the median time to leave the parking lot is 3.78 minutes.
This fitted line plot shows the relationship between time of leaving the school building and the time it takes to pull out of the parking lot. The best relationship between the data is a cubic function, yielding an R-Squared value of only 53.4%. However, the overall trend is very noticeable: students who leave the building very quickly or very slowly get out of the parking lot much faster than students who leave within the middle range of time elapsed after 11th period ends.
