Bias affects this study tremendously. Nonresponse bias played a role when surveys which included incomplete information decreased our sample size since we had to get rid of most of them. Response bias may have also played a role when inaccurate information was included. People may have given themselves a more favorable math grade average, which led to this response bias. Students that were picked using the random sampling through Minitab that attended Polaris full-time were left out, which cut our sample size. Sending out more surveys would have increased the accuracy of our study. The results of this observational study could be extrapolated to the entire South Western Conference students. We could not extrapolate to inner city students because grades are affected by the environment, which may be very different, and they also may not use many of the same materials that we use. We could further this study by following this study to other schools in the state. Then we could see the difference between males and females and their math grade average in Ohio.
