Purpose

I choose my topic of teenagers and their rates of car crashes because it something that was being talked about at a family gathering.  The topic of whether teenage boys or girls were safer drivers arose because my cousin, who is a boy, just received his license.  My parents began to question me about who of my friends had been in more accidents, boys or girls, and I was not sure.  The majority of statistics will tell you that boys are much more likely to get into a car accident, so I decided to test this among the students of our school.
