Problem Statement

Is there an association between gender and preferred house pet? We chose to partake in this project because we wanted to know whether there is a preference of house pets between males and females. We are both interested in this because we both are males and prefer dogs. We undertook this study under the impression that there is a statistical preference of house pet based on gender. We are trying to show that gender places a significant role in preference between cat and dogs.
