I failed to reject the null hypothesis at the 0.05 level of
significance because the p-value was greater than alpha.
Therefore, there is not sufficient evidence to say that the
mean ACT score for students who studied is greater than the
mean ACT score for students who didn’t study. However, my
sample size is too small to make any valid conclusions based
on this hypothesis test. I cannot assume that the population
is normal by my sample size or by viewing a scatterplot.
Redoing this test with a much larger sample size would yield
more accurate results.
